Welcome to my portfolio!
I'm a freshman attending McPherson College, where I am pursuing a major in automotive with a particular emphasis on technology, as well as art and design. I am thrilled to showcase journey and passion for classic cars, motorsports, and design in this portfolio. From a young age, I have always been captivated by the beauty and craftsmanship of classic vehicles. In high school, my enthusiasm led me to enroll in a class called CCAP (Classic Car Appreciation and Preservation), where I learned about the rich history and intricate details of classic cars and how to rebuild engines and transmissions. At 15 years old, I embarked on my first project, building a 2000 Jeep XJ. This fueled my desire to learn more about automotive suspension and design and pushed me to take on even more challenging projects. At the age of 16, I worked at Carlsville Engineering in Wisconsin, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and honed my skills in fabrication. At 16, I completed my 1967 C10. This was my first "classic" car project and solidified my passion for classic cars. It taught me the importance of attention to detail and perseverance. As I grew older, my interests expanded beyond traditional carbureted gasoline engines. I was intrigued by advancements in technology and how it could be integrated into classic cars. This led me to Kindred Motorworks (https://kindredmotorworks.com/), where I had the opportunity to work on LS swaps and electric motor conversions for classic cars. I was able combine my passion for classic cars with cutting-edge technology. My free time has always been devoted to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in automotive restoration. Using Fusion 360, I have engineered custom parts for my Volvo, allowing me to enhance its performance and aesthetics. This experience has given me a deeper understanding of the design process and has further fueled my desire to explore new possibilities in automotive design. I believe that the fusion of technology and art is essential in the automotive field, and I strive to bring this unique perspective to my work. I am constantly honing my skills and expanding my knowledge in order to stay current with the latest advancements in the aftermarket automotive industry as well as restoration solutions. I am confident that my diverse skill set, and unwavering determination, and desire to learn make me an excellent candidate for any team seeking a passionate individual who can seamlessly blend technical expertise with a creative touch.
